Unveiling Stories: The Impact of Photography Sessions on Lives.

Every Headshot Photography Session has its own story. Most of the time, we never share those, but in this case, I have decided to change that. About a year ago, I had the chance to meet Kelsey during a test shoot for one of the local model agencies. Kelsey was extremely stressed out. Her hair was pinned back, and I could see she was mortified right before we were supposed to start a shot. As we began the shoot, I noticed she had quite curly hair. I asked if she would be okay with unpinning her hair so we could try some different looks. When she took her hairband out, her amazing hair just popped out. I could see she was a bit embarrassed and she told me how she had been bullied and laughed at for her hair. She had been hiding her hair her entire life because people were picking on her for it. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I told her, “One day, this hair will take you to places you never dreamed of.” Over the last year, her amazing hair has taken her to some big hair shows by Redken and Wella, where she walked the stage and was admired by thousands of people. The point I am trying to make is that people come to us photographers for many different reasons and they unveil their deepest secrets. With just one session, we can change the path of their lives. Kelsey and her story have been one of my biggest inspirations, pushing me to explore every angle of this profession to help people see how much potential they have.
